Michael House is an independent non-denominational charity who provides for the needs of the homeless in South West Dorset.
We have an established track record since 1992 and pioneered the first ever Night Shelter and Day Centre for the homeless in Dorset which operated for a decade.
Michael House opened in 2000 and is a mixed gender hostel. We recently recorded our 700th resident.
We have received many testimonials. In 2008, the charity purchased an 8 bedroom property for move-on accommodation.
Three of our Directors have received civil/papal awards for services to the community in recent years.
