Why Michael House is important to me:
Michael House has been part of Helen’s life since it first opened and before that Michaels Night Shelter held an equally important place. As John Coulston’s daughter Helen has always been interested in and supportive of the work of her father. Joining the board at Michaels House has been a privilege. Working with Jim was always a delight and now seeing Michael House steaming ahead under Marks new leadership makes being a trustee one very exciting adventure! People have often joked “like father like daughter” or that by becoming a trustee of Michaels I am walking in my fathers footsteps. My answer is always – as far as caring for and supporting the homeless of our Town is concerned “I am walking in the footsteps of a giant.”
